375 High Street Kensington is a high end luxury residential development in Kensington where BoA were appointed to design, manufacture and install a variety of architectural metalwork products for St Edward Homes.
The development spreads across a number of blocks, all of which require high end architectural metalwork including feature stair cases to penthouses, light well stair cases to basement apartments and high quality balustrades to common areas. BoA successfully tendered for the works and were awarded the contract on the back of its track record of delivering high quality to the customers exacting standards. Given the unique nature of the finished apartments, all elements of the work involved were bespoke which meant that the BoA design team had a huge amount of design detailing and co-ordinating with client consultants to be able to refine designs and allow manufacture to commence. A number of the feature stair cases required the stair case to appear ‘floating’ with treads cantilevering from structures built into walls to take glazed balustrades, giving the stair the illusion of being totally unsupported. BoA engineers worked closely with the client and architect to turn these designs into reality. The result is one of London’s premier residential addresses that has proved hugely popular with customers and is a credit to the quality and scope of BoA’s capabilities.
