Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Management

Barretts of Aspley constantly strives to improve health and safety, quality and processes whilst ensuring compliance with the latest legislation and minimising the impact on the environment.

We recognise the importance of gaining accreditation of health & safety procedures, quality assurance and environmental sustainability to be able to give customers peace of mind that they are employing a reliable and conscientious contractor.

To demonstrate this commitment to continuous improvement, BoA has its procedures and processes externally audited by several third party organisations to gain independent accreditation to internationally recognised standards.

As a responsible company, we are aware of our responsibility to maintain the environment and carry out business in the most sustainable way. Our accreditation to international standard ISO 14001 – Environmental Management, demonstrates our on-going commitment.

Working in the steelwork market means that we are bound by the Construction Products Regulations (CPR) and must be able to CE mark all products we deliver and install. Our systems have been externally audited and certified compliant to BS EN 1090-1 and BS EN ISO 3834 which allows us to CE Mark all of our products.

To provide a complete service to our customers, we run a large fleet of commercial vehicles delivering products to customer sites. To be able to give customers confidence that this fleet is properly managed and maintained, we have our fleet procedures accredited under the Fleet Operators Recognition Scheme ‘FORS’.

Also, we have gained independent accreditations to internationally recognised standards SMAS, CHAS and Achilles (Building Confidence Level 4).
