New Apprentices

Following the launch of our BOA Academy in 2015 we have now welcomed our second intake of apprentices into our academy.

Following the launch of our BOA Academy in 2015 we have now welcomed our second intake of apprentices into our academy. The second intake marks a great moment in the academy’s future to ensure that the skills and knowledge from our skilled fabricators gets passed on to the younger generation.

Within this year’s intake we recruited four welder/ fabricator apprentices, all of which are from the local area and between the ages of 16-20. The apprentices will work, learn and be assessed in our academy facility alongside experienced mentors who will give them guidance and training throughout their apprenticeship. As with the first intake of apprentices the trainees are able to have both their practical and theoretical training and assessments delivered ‘in-house’ by external training providers Qualitrain Ltd.

This year’s apprentices will undertake a Level 2 NVQ in Fabrication/Welding, this qualification combined with on the job training from our professional fabricators will provide the apprentices with the skillset required to safeguard our fabrication workforce.

The Academy will be recruiting new apprentices every year, so if you are interested in a career with us or know of anybody who is, please contact us at info@boa.uk.com
