Barretts of Aspley Achieve Silver FORS Accreditation

Barretts of Aspley have been awarded Silver FORS accreditation following a successful audit.

Silver accreditation is awarded to operators who maintain their Bronze accreditation and are able to demonstrate that they have developed driver licencing verification systems, their vehicles over 3.5 tonnes are equipped with a left turn audible warning system and their vehicles are fitted with blind spot minimisation devices.

Ian Cox, Systems Manager said: “Obtaining FORS Silver for both BOA & BOA Plant fleet has enabled us to formalise our transport operation resulting in greater awareness of staff responsibilities, reduced operating costs but most importantly a safer road for vulnerable road users. This external accreditation gives our clients the confidence that our goods and services will be delivered to construction sites in a safer manner giving due regards to all road users and the environment “

Barretts of Aspley previously held Bronze accreditation since May 2014, FORS specifications and standards are set above minimum legal requirements which gives both Barretts of Aspley and our clients peace of mind that our fleet operations are being run in a safe, efficient and environmentally sound manner.
