BOA have secured a sizeable metalwork’s order for plot 20 and 24 on phase 3 of the Royal Wharf development. Plot 20 consists of four blocks and plot 24, three blocks. There’s a total of 560no. Balconies across the two plots with a large colonnade to the south elevation on plot 24. The rest of the scope consists of entrance canopies, stair balustrades and wall rails, railings and gates, aluminium window reveals and various sundry items. With the first balconies required in December 2017 the programme is very tight but our design teams are already well underway with the balcony designs and we will start fabrication on a sample balcony next week.

The Royal Wharf development is thought of as a new town within London, introducing 3,385 residential units to a prime riverside location. Jointly developed with Oxley Holdings Ltd, the development incorporates a high street, side streets, and the occasional mews, taking inspiration from the great estates that emerged in London. A few minutes from Canary Wharf, and less than half an hour from Oxford Street, this is a rich, textured neighbourhood, focused around the lively central high street, a broad market square and a rolling riverside park. The masterplan and architecture of Royal Wharf, is inspired by the classic great estates of London – most famously forged in the Georgian and Victorian eras.
